Product Description: Coffee USB A to USB B Digital Cable

In 1982, Sony introduced the concept of "Perfect sound forever" and the belief that "all CD players sound the same" because they were digital. This notion was soon challenged, proving that differences in CD players' sound quality are significant. Subsequently, the idea that "all S/PDIF digital audio cables sound the same" was also disproved. Now, we find ourselves questioning whether digital audio is truly just ones and zeros. We don't think so, and after experiencing the Carbon USB, you won't believe it either.

Features:

CARBON-BASED 3-LAYER NOISE-DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS)
Achieving 100% shield coverage is relatively simple. However, preventing Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) from affecting the equipment's ground reference demands AQ's advanced Noise-Dissipation System (NDS). Traditional shielding methods often absorb and drain noise/RF energy to the component's ground, which modulates and distorts the crucial "reference" ground plane, leading to signal distortion. The NDS employs alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetics to "shield the shield," capturing and reflecting most of this noise/RF energy before it reaches the ground layer.

DIELECTRIC-BIAS SYSTEM WITH RADIO FREQUENCY TRAP
Insulation between conductors acts as a dielectric, influencing the signal's integrity. An unbiased dielectric can cause varying phase shifts for different frequencies and energy levels, impacting time-sensitive multi-octave audio. The inclusion of an RF Trap, developed for AudioQuest’s Niagara Series, ensures that radio-frequency noise does not interfere with the signal conductors from the DBS field elements. HARD-CELL FOAM INSULATION
Hard-Cell Foam (HCF) Insulation maintains critical signal-pair geometry. Any material adjacent to a conductor can affect the circuit, as insulation and circuit board materials absorb and release energy as distortion. Our Hard-Cell Foam Insulation, similar to the Foamed-PE used in our Bridges & Falls cables, is nitrogen-injected to create air pockets. Nitrogen, like air, does not absorb or release energy, thereby reducing distortion. Additionally, the material's stiffness helps the cable’s conductors maintain a stable relationship along its length, ensuring stable impedance and minimizing distortion further.

SOLID 10% SILVER CONDUCTORS
Solid conductors reduce harmful electrical and magnetic strand-to-strand interactions. Digital cables, which carry high-frequency signals that travel mostly on the conductor's surface, benefit from thicker layers of silver plating on AudioQuest’s Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors. This design enhances Noise-Dissipation and places the superior metal on the conductor's surface for optimal performance, providing an excellent cost-effective method to improve digital cable performance.
